EMERGING WORKFLOWS

Facades Engineering is an exciting new workflow for us that marries together key skill sets in our office. From the modeling of complex forms to the analysis of the thermal behavior of façade elements and systems, we are excited for new challenges.

Point Cloud Scanning is now a vital component of our workflow. From localized scans using handheld devices to large scale scans of entire buildings, point clouds have become and invaluable resource for the analysis and documentation of existing conditions.

Virtual Wind Tunnel studies are rapidly becoming a key analytical tool to understand the behavior of prevailing winds and their impact on the entire range of our project typologies. Often prescriptive code analysis of wind loading doesn’t tell the complete story and VWT can fill in the gaps.

Pedestrian Wind Comfort studies are a key component of our efforts in bio-climate research. The analysis of multiple prevailing wind studies at common wind speeds with a Virtual Wind Tunnel study provides our clients with a comfort analysis that can be critical to massing and programming of spaces.
